My Baby Nora's "Big Girl" Room

Nora loves it! Probably because its empty so she can run...and because its blue, which is her favorite color to say. I love that the door looks brand new with a fresh coat of paint and that the vent now has a cover instead of a dingy hole in the wall! Also, I have come to love contact paper for covering the insides of gross drawers/cabinets and also for the floor of the closet so the kiddo's don't scratch up the paint with their shoes/toys. Yay. Now we're hunting for a cute black bed for our little darlin'. Any suggestions on toddler bed vs. twin bed with a guard rail? We can't decide what is the best and most practical option.

I definitely vote for twin bed! We tried the toddler bed and they just get out of it and grow out of it too fast. With a twin they feel like a "big kid" which seems to help the transition. The room looks great! Where did you get the polka dot contact paper?

I ditto the twin bed. We were lucky-- my parents gave us some old twin beds that are low to the ground like toddler beds, so it minimizes the damage when they fall out of bed. You can always use the side safety rails and pillows on the floor (we did that).

It turned out SO cute! Great job heather! I always think it's amazing what a few dollars can do to a room!=)

It looks so cute! I love that contact paper. Where did you get it? I say a twin bed too. Of course, you will die when you see how little Nora looks in it. And I think you should come have pregnany nesting OCD at my house. I must be too lazy to get the nesting OCD. Although Heaven knows my house would GREATLY benefit from it.
