Today I asked my 2 year old to forgive me for being a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad mom today. I am humbled. Quite often Tootsie and Bubba teach me life lessons I should have mastered ages ago. I guess practice makes perfect right?
I've had to apologize to my daughter on several occasions. It always makes me feel like such a scumbag but I think it's important to remember that just because I'm "the mom," I'm far from perfect.
My mom never does anything wrong- just ask her- and it drives me crazy. It's humbling to own up to weak moments, but I'd rather be humble than blind to my imperfections. :)
